Trúnó is Reykjavík's most
fabulous gay café/bar and it's the only official gay one. Did we
say gay too often in that sentence? No I don't think so. It is a
must visit when in Iceland as the LGBT hang out and is located on
the main shopping street. Trúnó has a very active facebook page, there you can see the menu, event
calendar, photos and more - join in on the fun! Also
Trúnó has her very own webpage www.truno.is.
On the main street in Reykjavík, Laugavegur is also located
Samtökin '78 which is Iceland's LGBT organisation.
Or as we call it in Iceland Samtök hinsegin fólks á Íslandi. The
adress is Laugavegur 3 and the opening hours are to be found on
their webpage. Samtökin '78 have been a leading
example in LGBT rights in Iceland and for that we thank them and
they instantly become Pink Iceland's favourite.
Our favourite weekend of the year is ofcourse the Reykjavík Gay
Pride weekend which is always the second weekend in August
