OUR MISSION
Pink Iceland strives to be the country’s foremost travel agent, tour operator, event and wedding planner for LGBTQI travelers. Our goal is to always offer an exemplary service, treating our guests with the utmost respect while offering a good quality product.
Pink Iceland has clear policies regarding its responsibilities to environmental and humanitarian issues. These are reflected in the services on offer and the general attitude of the company’s owners and staff.
Pink Iceland is, and will remain a beautiful, vibrant, fun and caring place of work where both owners and staff ambitiously work towards offering outstanding services to its guests
HONESTY POLICY
Pink Iceland is a privately owned company and as such it needs to make a profit. This profit pays the salaries of its staff, the rent, the wonderful and informative Pink Iceland website not to mention copious amounts of coffee for the owners. Most of Pink Iceland's money is made through commissions. This is how it works: If our guests let us book their tours, activities, and accommodation we collect a small (usually 10-15%) commission of the price. This basically means that you pay the same price, regardless of whether you book directly - or through us. You may think this might cause us to recommend really expensive accommodation and tours. Not so. We promise to do our utmost to come up with a plan that suits you, and your budget. We would never recommend anything without full confidence and/or personal experience of what's on offer. Our primary goal is working with and for the LGBTQI community and without the community's support or goodwill we wouldn't have lasted six months in the business. It is not least through word of mouth that we grow stronger every day. Our hope is that after reading this you too will ask for our recommendations and advice and/or book your holiday through us.
HUMAN RIGHTS
Pink Iceland is founded on the belief that more can be done to welcome LGBTQI visitors to Iceland. We strive to to offer the best available services to our guests, working with suppliers who respect and adhere to human and civil rights.
We at Pink Iceland have committed ourselves to contributing to LGBTQI communities around the world in whatever way we can. This has been done with monetary donations, education about what we've achieved in this country and how we went about it and through on-going volunteer work for Samtökin'78 the national LGBTQI organization in Iceland as well as Reykjavik Pride Week where we offer our time and expertise for various events and causes. We constantly revise our policies, processes and activities and actively work towards implementing these. Our human rights commitments may often go unnoticed but when applicable we update our audience about the work we undertake through our social media outlets and website.

“Pink and Pride are Perfect Together”
O-M-G! Pink Iceland offers an awesome 6-day Iceland Pride Week package that is the best tour we have ever had! We (Wayne & Ted) have been together 36 years, and nearly every year, we take an international vacation, so our praise is sincere.
WARNING: Iceland Gay Pride Week (in mid-August) is the nation's busiest tourist week, so book your Reykjavic hotel early, then leave the rest to Pink Iceland Tours. Every day, their bus picked us up in City Centre and transported us to someplace new and interesting. Waterfalls, geysers, black sand beaches, farmlands, "moonscapes," city tours, all the must-see Iceland sights. Plus the fun stuff: the world-class Blue Lagoon hot springs spa, city "hot pot" pools, classic hot dog and ice cream stands, dinner parties at the city's coolest restaurants, and lunch at the world's best "mushroom restaurant." Then the REALLY fun stuff: outdoor cocktails at the city wharf, a hilarious drag show in the woods (!), and walking down the city's rainbow-painted streets IN THE GAY PRIDE PARADE alongside the Pink Iceland staff. Awesome!
Pink Iceland planned everything perfectly, including meet-and-greet cocktails, tapas, and "mixer" events that allowed our group of 20+ Americans, Canadians, Brits, Germans, and Romanian LGBT's to get to know each other fast and forever. A perfect vacation!
“Gay Golden Circle”
We had an amazing time on the bi monthly Gay Golden Circle this month. Awesome and knowledgeable guide, nice newer vehicle, and great company. Highly recommend!
“Amazing”
Thank you to the staff of Pink Iceland for an amazing experience of touring your beautiful country. A special shout out to the best tour guide ever, Gudni. You answered every question we had and showed us unforgettable landscapes. You truly have a passion for what you do. Thank you for giving Adam and I an experience of a lifetime. Hope our paths cross again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“Pink Iceland is the best for all things tourist in Iceland”
Anytime I find myself in Iceland, I contact Pink Iceland for the newest tours that are available. They have helped me experience the beauty and fun of Iceland every time I have worked with them. I have met amazing people on the tours and I have countless happy memories from my visits to this incredible country. All of the members of Pink Iceland (Eva Maria, Birna, Siggi, Hannes, and associates) are warm, creative, and engaging professionals! You will NOT be disappointed!
“THE BEST”
There is nothing more gratifying, when planning a trip, than to have every single part of it go perfectly. And that is, precisely, what happened for the second year in a row when Pink Iceland made all my arrangements.
Their communication with me prior to my travel was outstanding. There was never a time that I emailed a question that I didn't receive a response within a short period of time. I had the pleasure of working with a lovely woman named Ziggy. She was special, indeed. It was obvious that she loved her country, knew just about every inch of it and took great pride in guiding me to the tours that would be best suited for me. Her efficiency is unmatched.
I have said, repeatedly, that I have never met friendlier people than those who live in Iceland and that friendliness began before I even landed with the planning that was arranged by Ziggy. She along with her associates is dedicated to pleasing the traveler. And she sure succeeded!!!!
“Amazing - friendly and so organised”
I recently attended Reykjavik Winter Pride as organised by the amazing Ziggy and the everyone at Pink Iceland.
Booking was really easy and convenient and Ziggy kept me up to date every step of the way.
When I arrived in Iceland the team welcomed me and were so lovely and friendly, genuinely felt like I’d made new friends rather than being a customer, the whole event was so well organised and I had an amazing time.
Will be back again next year and could not recommend them more.
“Reykjavik Rainbow Winter Pride”
It was my first trip to Iceland, and it came in connection with the Reykjavik Rainbow Winter Pride, which is organized by Pink Iceland. We had several excursions and other events, and everything was perfectly organized by the team from Pink Iceland. Of course you don't have to belong to the queer community to use their service, but if you do, it is definitely not a disadvantage. You can be who you want to be, without being judged, you are treated with respect and friendliness. And they really care for you and do everything to make you feel comfortable. These days were a lifetime-experience, and unfortunately they passed way too quick.
The team from Pink Iceland rules! And I will definitely be back! Love you!
'Pink Iceland is the most capable, creative, and amazing resource for all your travel needs in Iceland”
We recently held a destination wedding in Iceland with approx 50 family & friends flying in from all over Europe, Asia, and the US. The wedding turned out to a massive endeavor, where we rented a bus for a week and took everyone on a journey across all of South Iceland, to Jokulsarlon in the East, up to Langjokull in the center, and even on a ferry to the Westman Islands. Pink Iceland booked dependable and delightful vendors every step of the way and always stayed one step ahead, no matter how complex the request or how difficult the task. Planning a wedding is daunting and scary, but Hannes at Pink Iceland is a dependable masterful planner who took all the nerves out of the process. Never did I feel that they wouldn't be able to deliver as they remained transparent, trustworthy, and personal from day one through to the last guest departure. I can't stress enough the personal detail they brought to my wedding, always going that extra mile. If anyone is thinking of organizing a group tour or a wedding in Iceland, I'm happy to provide personal reference and vouch for the incredible work they can deliver. Pink Iceland also provide day tours and our guests enjoyed their Golden Circle as well as Reykjanes Peninsula tours. Both tours were met with great enthusiasm. I can't recommend Pink Iceland highly enough for all they've done to create an experience our 50 guests, my partner and I will never forget.'
“A wonderful group that made the perfect vacation”
Traveling to Iceland was a little daunting in planning because of how little we knew about the country. Fortunately, we saw Pink Iceland and decided to ask them for assistance. With a few back and forth emails, Birna had created a 7 day vacation that went off without a hitch.Hotel stays, horseback riding, whale watching, mounting hikes, glacier walks, waterfall tours, golden circle, blue lagoon, all of it pre-planned and with no additional cost to us. All we had to do was show up outside of our apartment. It was amazing. We WILL be coming back to Iceland, and we will be using Pink Iceland again.
“LOVED PINK ICELAND!! THEY MADE OUR TRIP!”
Thank you Hannes and Gudni for organizing a superb visit to beautiful Iceland. just returned yesterday and we wanted to be sure to let other Iceland-bound travelers know that Pink Iceland should be their "go to" tour company for Icelandic bookings. Smart, professional, knowledgeable and really fun--I give them my highest recommendation and we are seasoned travelers with many to compare them with. We covered a lot of ground and with Gudni as our guide and driver, had a lot of laughs plus learned so much about the country, its history, politics, and geography. We had an amazing vacation!! The accommodations were excellent from the brand new, hip boutique hotel in Reykavik (only an insider would know of it and we really enjoyed it), to a beautiful apartment in Akureyri which far exceeded in quality the top hotel there, to the daily excursions and private tours that they organized--we were so lucky to have been introduced to Pink Iceland. I note that I traveled with my husband and 16-year old son--so whereas Pink Iceland is known for LGBT travel, that wasn't our personal orientation. Pink Iceland will really enhance your trip! As a side note, since it wasn't our personal experience, I am told that Pink Iceland organizes events and weddings to the greatest satisfaction of their customers!
“Pink Iceland is an amazing company!”
Pink Iceland is an amazing travel company. It is owned and operated by the most helpful, warm, and friendly people. I met the Pink Iceland team when I signed up to be a participant at the IGLA, International Gay Lesbian Aquatics, swim meet held in Reykjavik late spring 2012. My friends and I had no idea how to begin thinking about touring Iceland. We e-mailed Eva Maria asking for help. She patiently exchanged innumerable e-mails with us. She inquired about our interests and responded with suggestions. I was so impressed by her flexibility working with us. She answered our innumerable e-mails and “hung loose” while we continually refined and changed our plans. When we arrived in Reykjavik, she further demonstrated her ease and grace accommodating our “evolving” ideas with great patience. We went on several Pink Iceland tours that were so much fun, including: a half-day city walking tour, a full day Golden Triangle tour, a half-day horse back tour, and the highlight of the trip a three-day Westfjord tour. The later offered me the opportunity to see a unique corner of Iceland conducted by two fabulous native sons – Bjarni and Jon. Pink Iceland is the dream team one could hope to work with when planning a holiday. I would whole-heartedly recommend Pink Iceland to anyone looking for assistance in planning tours and accommodations in Iceland.
“Private or public tours, Pink Iceland is the go to for Iceland travel”
They helped us book a Greyline tour to the glacial lagoon after we had arrived in REK for our weeks stay. Very attentive and helpful in letting us know of other attractions. While they cater to the GLBT community - all are welcomed and I encourage using them to make the best of your stay in Iceland. On a return trip we will use Pink Iceland to doing our bookings...
“Pride Week”
What an incredible vacation. From start to finish everything was well planned, organized, interesting and a lot of fun. Each tour was outstanding with surprises along the way.
“Highly Recommended”
I've consulted trip advisor reviews for several trips in the past, but have never felt moved to write a review until today. I cannot speak highly enough of Pink Iceland. I booked several of their tours for my week-long stay in Reykjavik. Birna and the Pink Iceland team were attentive, helpful, and incredibly welcoming. The guide who assisted me through my entire trip, Kristin, was very knowledgable about the local history, culture, folklore, language, geology, and botany - every subject I could think of and then some.
If you choose to travel with Pink Iceland, you might want to consider their West Iceland Tour, their Pink City Tour, and their Golden Circle Tour. I've taken them all, and they were all fantastic. Also, they work closely with several other travel companies, and are happy to take care of arrangements for whale watching tours, trips to the Blue Lagoon, et al. With Pink Iceland, I knew I was in good hands, and was able to relax and let them take care of the details.
“Incredible Southern Iceland Vacation”
Pink Iceland created a wonderful package for touring Southern Iceland. I had a blast! The excursions were incredible and the accommodations were first rate. We cannot wait to go back! I went with my partner and 6 other friends. Everything fell right into place along the journey. Pink Iceland will be the first and only place we call for our next Iceland trip.
“Pink cured world hunger!”
No they didn't. Made you look though.
NOBODY SAID THAT
NOWHERE // NEVER
“They're the BEST!”
When my fiancé contacted Pink Iceland to seek help with planning a last-minute elopement to Iceland, he came across Pink Iceland and they were truly a godsend!
The staff promptly responded to all of our messages, answered our questions, provided relevant options that suited our needs, and made themselves available in every possible way so that we could easily reach them. They made us feel like part of their family, didn't pressure us to make choices, and never made us feel like our unique requests were ever a problem. True professionals with a passion for what they do, they had every base covered, always seemed to be one step ahead, and were super flexible with any changes or adjustments we needed to make.
Pink Iceland knows their stuff! From offering breathtaking locations for the ceremony to recommending the best stores where find particular items, the most delicious restaurants, the freshest flowers, what documents were required to make a marriage happen, what special sights we should see, plus when and how to get there - they were an endless source of support and knowledge that helped us make our dream into a reality!
The staff is super friendly, professional, sympathetic, understanding, patient and tres chic! Their office is located in the heart of beautiful Reykjavik, they offer free wi-fi and are always there to greet you with a smile :) I look forward to returning for their guidance on our next adventure! We are forever grateful for their tireless efforts to cater to our needs!
“Great Travel Company Pink Iceland”
I booked with Pink Iceland way back in May and as they were a relatively new company i wasn't sure what to expect . I needn't have worried , not only were they warm professional and very helpful they were also patient (i lost my ticket for the Flybus back so called them at 8pm in the evening and they sorted it all out).
Myself and the group were treated as friends rather than customers or clients , the trip included beautiful lunches and Dinners/Club entries/Golden Circle tour/Harpa Hall Concert/Comedian etc.
Great Value for money.
I've been on holiday over 23 times and have to say without a doubt my time in Iceland has to be one of the best organised (a view shared by the other 6 in the group).
So Eva,Maria,Hans and Gudne (Pink Iceland) many thanks . I will be sure to book again with you guys !
“Personal professionals”
The staff at Pink Iceland goes above and beyond any expectations one could conjure up. Guðni picked me up from Keflavik airport (part of the Reykjanes Gold Tour package) and we sat down for a cup of coffee in the airport before heading to my hotel in Reykjavik. An overnight/red eye flight combined with traveling-alone-for-the-first-time jitters could throw anyone for a loop but Guðni immediately worked to build a rapport with genuine interest and natural charm. A few hours after arriving in Reykjavik, I took the Pink City Walk with Hannes and a traveler from Germany. Still jittery, I took my time warming up to our small, intimate group but the dynamic quickly evolved into three friends walking through the capital, checking out the sights. Hannes took us to the Parliament building, City Hall building, Harpa concert/event building (among other exciting sights) and it was a very leisurely, intriguing walk where we never felt rushed nor ignored. Day 2 of my stay consisted of an all-day Golden Circle tour with Guðni, the same German traveler from the day before and an Italian traveler. The four of us couldn't have gotten along more famously! Day 3 of my stay consisted of the Reykjanes Peninsula tour, also with Guðni. Although it was just he & I on Day 3, Guðni took extra time to explain intricate historical and geological details I probably wouldn't have received from another tour group. Overall, Pink Iceland helped me realize that traveling alone can actually be way more fun than traveling with friends. My experience with Pink Iceland was life-changing for me in that I saw a part of the world my friends and family have almost never heard of, let alone been to - all the while making life-long friends I cherish and plan to visit soon. Takk fyrir, hugs and kisses to the staff! They're thorough, friendly, efficient and very worth meeting while you're in Iceland.
“Great People and Organization”
I highly recommend Pink Iceland as your tour guide/operators in Iceland. I travelled solo, and everyone went out of his or her way to accommodate my tours. Gudni met me at the airport and started a tour of the Reykjanes Peninsula, including a stop at the Blue Lagoon. He provided an informative and very interesting discussion of the Peninsula's features along the way. Later in the trip, Hannes led a fantastic City Tour. Since I was travelling alone, the crew was able to book me on one of their partners for the Fire and Ice Walk tour. Finally, Gudni led my Golden Circle tour. Overall my visit to Iceland was one of the best trips I've ever taken, I attribute much of that to the Pink Iceland group. Everyone I worked with was very informative and flexible in working with my schedule.
“Best GLBT Tours in Iceland!!!”
My husband and I got married in September 2013 and we wanted to go somewhere different and outdoors. We're both outdoors kind of guys and love to hike. We wanted a special place that is raw and full of energy and wonder and Iceland was it. We found Pink Iceland and read some of the reviews, so we reach out to them.
The Pink team was awesome. They helped us plan, coordinate and ensured we understood what we got. We explained to them our expectation and what we wanted in a honeymoon and they delivered. The Pink tours were very friendly and we will use them again. We fell in love with Iceland and its people. Service was fantastic. The tour bus came to our hotel on-time and even had little goodie bags which were helpful.
Payments were easy and affordable and everyone spoke and even wrote in English. The Fire and Ice tour was incredible and it was our favorite. We also recommend Blue Lagoon - just don't go during the peak time but worth it.
“Incredible service, guide + trip!”
Whenever my partner and I travel, we always look into LGBT-friendly options for touring our destination. In this case, we came across Pink Iceland's website and immediately found not only a pretty website, but extremely useful information, ideas, and things to keep in mind while traveling in Iceland. We used it as our base for what we wanted to plan and see in Iceland.
The service was 5 star, A+, top notch. From the first email communication to when our tour guide dropped us back off at our hotel after an 8+ hr adventure in Iceland, Pink Iceland never let us down. Due to some nasty weather, we knew seeing the Northern Lights was slim, and the owner of Pink was very flexible with changes we made to our itinerary. We added the Golden Circle tour and had an amazing guide show us around.
You really can't put a price tag on a good tour with an excellent guide who is friendly, welcoming and extremely knowledgable about the area. We've had some pretty bad experiences in the past with countries and guides being unfriendly to us as a gay couple. I cannot emphasize enough how fantastic it was to simply not have to worry about that during our trip in Iceland. There were no judgements, no assumptions; nothing but friendly, top-notch service and an experience that we'll treasure for a lifetime.
We traveled in December and it was icy/snowy/windy, you name it. It was wintry! Our guide was extremely experienced driving in the weather and paid very close attention to any routes that were closed, any conditions that would have been unsafe, etc. I felt 100% at ease the entire time.
I would recommend them to absolutely anyone looking for a wonderful time in Iceland. We will certainly be reaching back out for another trip in the summer.
“They planned my wedding!”
My long-term partner and I were planning to visit Iceland and decided that we wanted to be married while we were there. I found Pink Iceland online when I was researching gay weddings in Iceland, and the rest is history.. (as they say!)
They were very friendly and thorough, and were able to answer all of my questions prior to our arrival in Iceland, so we knew exactly what to expect. When we met them in person, we liked them immediately, and found them to be warm, friendly and personable. They spent a lot of time with us on our wedding day, making sure that everything was handled properly.
After the wedding, we went back to them for advice on tours and they helped us have a great time in the rest of our stay. We highly recommend them!
“Thanks”
We stumbled into Pink Iceland just to find out more about the Reykjavik gay scene as everything online seemed to suggest that one bar had changed names several times and we wanted to know if these places actually existed and if there were other places to go. Hannes gave us so much great information and later in the night we ran in to him and Eva out and about and they remembered us. If I ever go back to Iceland, I am definitely going to check out working with this group to plan my trip. Such friendliness to just someone asking some questions who didn't even know about the tourism connection there. That's great customer service and I definitely wanted to put up a positive review.
“Fantastic organisation skills and lovely people”
Our wedding trip was organised by Birna, Eva and Hannes at Pink Iceland. From the outset they listened to our requirements in every respect and they delivered: The right hotel, lovely restaurants and options for personalised tours. Of particular mention:
• Within their service they personally chauffeured us around. Lots of fun. They speak to the locals in Icelandic to make things happen (they are very popular in the community so ‘action’ instantly with a smile on both sides) and they spoke to us in perfect English with the ability to slip into gossip and curse in English like troopers.
• They are doyens of: cuisine and wine, culture, nature and politics so it’s like spending time with your best friends.
• It was very special that Birna was one of our wedding witnesses. Nice to have her name immortalised on our Certificate. We cannot recommend Pink Iceland more.
“Golden Circle Tour”
This tour company was the easiest and most accommodating tour company I have ever dealt with. They went out of their way to meet our needs. The tour we were interested in was booked and that was the only day we would have been able to take the tour. They worked with us and found another tour guide to take us around. He was phenomenal!!! By far the best tour guide we have ever had. He was not only extremely informative about the history and culture of Iceland but he was personable, friendly and entertaining. It was by far our best day in Iceland. I am looking forward to returning to Iceland in the Summer and booking more tours with Pink Iceland Tours.
“Simply Superb!”
My husband and I and 2 other couples went to Iceland for the very first time early December. We were only going for a long weekend so that we needed help coordinating and maximizing our experience there. We were so very impressed by Birna with the promptness of her emails and communication to set up our itinerary. Our guide, Gudni, for the weekend was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable about Iceland, of course, but he was also very well read and traveled and able to relate with us regarding American culture and specific details about NYC and Boston.
Snow mobiling on top of glacier in the middle of a blizzard was an experience of a lifetime. This was an extra that Birna was able to help coordinate. Our only disappointment was that we did not get to see the Northern lights! That's OK because it just means we will definitely go back to the beautiful country of Iceland. We would not hesitate in working with Pink Iceland again!
“Great tour of Reykjavik!”
Thanks so much for such an interesting city tour with Gudin. We learned so much about Queer Reykiavik and Reykiavik in general and the country. There were just two of us instead of the masses on other tours. If we come back, we will use you again. Mary Anne and Catha
