OUR MISSION
Pink Iceland strives to be the country’s foremost travel agent, tour operator, event and wedding planner for LGBTQI travelers. Our goal is to always offer an exemplary service, treating our guests with the utmost respect while offering a good quality product.
Pink Iceland has clear policies regarding its responsibilities to environmental and humanitarian issues. These are reflected in the services on offer and the general attitude of the company’s owners and staff.
Pink Iceland is, and will remain a beautiful, vibrant, fun and caring place of work where both owners and staff ambitiously work towards offering outstanding services to its guests
HONESTY POLICY
Pink Iceland is a privately owned company and as such it needs to make a profit. This profit pays the salaries of its staff, the rent, the wonderful and informative Pink Iceland website not to mention copious amounts of coffee for the owners. Most of Pink Iceland's money is made through commissions. This is how it works: If our guests let us book their tours, activities, and accommodation we collect a small (usually 10-15%) commission of the price. This basically means that you pay the same price, regardless of whether you book directly - or through us. You may think this might cause us to recommend really expensive accommodation and tours. Not so. We promise to do our utmost to come up with a plan that suits you, and your budget. We would never recommend anything without full confidence and/or personal experience of what's on offer. Our primary goal is working with and for the LGBTQI community and without the community's support or goodwill we wouldn't have lasted six months in the business. It is not least through word of mouth that we grow stronger every day. Our hope is that after reading this you too will ask for our recommendations and advice and/or book your holiday through us.
HUMAN RIGHTS
Pink Iceland is founded on the belief that more can be done to welcome LGBTQI visitors to Iceland. We strive to to offer the best available services to our guests, working with suppliers who respect and adhere to human and civil rights.
We at Pink Iceland have committed ourselves to contributing to LGBTQI communities around the world in whatever way we can. This has been done with monetary donations, education about what we've achieved in this country and how we went about it and through on-going volunteer work for Samtökin'78 the national LGBTQI organization in Iceland as well as Reykjavik Pride Week where we offer our time and expertise for various events and causes. We constantly revise our policies, processes and activities and actively work towards implementing these. Our human rights commitments may often go unnoticed but when applicable we update our audience about the work we undertake through our social media outlets and website.

ITINERARY
DAY 1
Private pickup from the airport followed by a 3 in 1 tour combining the excitment of quadbikes with the relaxation of the Blue Lagoon and the geological wonders of the Reykjanes Peninsula, or the less expensive city walk & whalewatching. Overnight at one of Iceland's best hotels.
DAY 2
Pick up your rental car (a good 4x4) and start your trip! Experience the quintessential Golden Circle and the Laugarvatn Fontana Steambaths and pools. Add snorkling or diving in the amazing Silfra River. Overnight in a 3* or 4* country hotel serving great local food.
DAY 3
Get up early and get ready for an exciting daytour detour to the Westman Islands. Get the morning ferry, experience this volcanic island and take a boatride around it before returning to land and checking in to a nice country hotel for the night.
DAY 4
Sleep in and don't even think about packing your bags. You get two nights at this hotel to recharge your batteries. Today is Glacier Activity Day! Go ice hiking or climbing at the nearby Sólheimajökull glacier and check out the nearby Reynisfjara and Dyrhólaey.
DAY 5
Drive to the amazing Glacier Lagoon where giant Icebergs bob around in a lagoon like ice-cubes in Mother Nature's giant coctail glass. Enjoy a boat tour on the Lagoon. That night you check in to fairly basic (but lovely at the same time) accommodation.
DAY 6
Sightseeing day as you drive towards the Eastfjords. We recommend you stop for a lobster lunch at Höfn before continuing your drive to Neskaupsstaður where you check in to the awesome Hildibrand Hotel, a brand new, gay owned, apartment hotel with high standards and great service. That night we recommend dinner at the hotel and we'll make sure you're met by the owner who can recommend the following day's activity.
DAY 7
There are various things on offer in Neskaupsstaður as you will have discovered the night before. Today you can go sailing, snowmobiling, hiking or maybe explore your cultural side by visiting local artists. Stay at the Hildibrand Hotel.
DAY 8
Head towards Akureyri. The total driving time is just over 4 hours but there are so many things to see on they way that you might want to start your day early. Make sure you make a pitstop at the Mývatn Nature Baths, check out the amazing Hverir geothermal area and don't forget Dettifoss Waterfall! That night you check into a double deluxe room at a great hotel in Akureyri.
DAY 9
Akureyri is a fascinating town. You can choose to do absolutely nothing but walk around it, drink coffee and just enjoy the views or if you're feeling adventurous you can take a 16 hour tour to the incredible, volcanic center of the country for some truly otherworldly landscapes. If that's not your thing then we there's a wonderful gourmet tour around the area where you get a taste of the best Iceland has to offer. Return to the same hotel as the night before.
DAY 10
Drive to the Snæfellsnes Peninsula and explore as much or as little of it as you want (we recommend driving the lenghts and breadth of it!) This will be one of those scenic days where the landscapes alone should be enough to take your breath away. Add a boat tour on the Bay of Breiðafjörður or a snowmobile tour here if you're hungry for adventure. Overnight at a brand new and amazing boutique hotel.
DAY 11
Sleep in, then head for Reykjavik. The adventure is almost over but before you return to civilization why not stop at a horsefarm and go riding on the unique Icelandic Horse? Overnight at a great Reykjavik Hotel.
DAY 12
Transfer to the Airport with an optional 2nd stop at the Blue Lagoon.
