OUR MISSION
Pink Iceland strives to be the country’s foremost travel agent, tour operator, event and wedding planner for LGBTQI travelers. Our goal is to always offer an exemplary service, treating our guests with the utmost respect while offering a good quality product.
Pink Iceland has clear policies regarding its responsibilities to environmental and humanitarian issues. These are reflected in the services on offer and the general attitude of the company’s owners and staff.
Pink Iceland is, and will remain a beautiful, vibrant, fun and caring place of work where both owners and staff ambitiously work towards offering outstanding services to its guests
HONESTY POLICY
Pink Iceland is a privately owned company and as such it needs to make a profit. This profit pays the salaries of its staff, the rent, the wonderful and informative Pink Iceland website not to mention copious amounts of coffee for the owners. Most of Pink Iceland's money is made through commissions. This is how it works: If our guests let us book their tours, activities, and accommodation we collect a small (usually 10-15%) commission of the price. This basically means that you pay the same price, regardless of whether you book directly - or through us. You may think this might cause us to recommend really expensive accommodation and tours. Not so. We promise to do our utmost to come up with a plan that suits you, and your budget. We would never recommend anything without full confidence and/or personal experience of what's on offer. Our primary goal is working with and for the LGBTQI community and without the community's support or goodwill we wouldn't have lasted six months in the business. It is not least through word of mouth that we grow stronger every day. Our hope is that after reading this you too will ask for our recommendations and advice and/or book your holiday through us.
HUMAN RIGHTS
Pink Iceland is founded on the belief that more can be done to welcome LGBTQI visitors to Iceland. We strive to to offer the best available services to our guests, working with suppliers who respect and adhere to human and civil rights.
We at Pink Iceland have committed ourselves to contributing to LGBTQI communities around the world in whatever way we can. This has been done with monetary donations, education about what we've achieved in this country and how we went about it and through on-going volunteer work for Samtökin'78 the national LGBTQI organization in Iceland as well as Reykjavik Pride Week where we offer our time and expertise for various events and causes. We constantly revise our policies, processes and activities and actively work towards implementing these. Our human rights commitments may often go unnoticed but when applicable we update our audience about the work we undertake through our social media outlets and website.

Driver Guided Super Jeep Safari of the Golden Circle
Do you want to go Golden Circle sightseeing? Here is your chance to do it in style on a Super Jeep and go off road while you are at it! The Golden Circle is Iceland´s most famous sightseeing route. On it you will visit the Þingvellir National Park, the Geysir Hot Springs and Gullfoss Waterfall.
This tour allows visitors to get in touch with some of Icelands most famous and exciting natural phenomena. Our first stop is the Þingvellir National Park 40 min due east of the city. Þingvellir is one of Iceland's most historic sites as it was there that Icelands's first parliament was founded in the year 930 AD. Here you will also see for yourself one of only two tectonic rift valleys in the worlds, created as the continental plates slowly drift. From there we head along gravel tracks toward the world-renowned geothermal area around the Geysir hot spring. This is the one spouting hot spring that all such phenomena on Earth are named after and there you will see a variety of geothermal pools and erupting hot springs, surely one of the highlights of any visit to Iceland.
From there we continue to Gullfoss ("The Golden waterfall") where your proximity to its edge is so close you can feel the refreshing spray of the glacial water on your face.
This trip is available with add ons of 4 different additional activities, giving you a unique possibility to custom-make your adventure. Your activity of choice will take part at some point during this adventurous day. Prices with activities from 36.990 ISK - 37.990 ISK.
Driver Guided Super Jeep Safari to Landmannalaugar Hot Springs
Experience the great Landmannalaugar interior destination with a pro at the wheel of your Super Jeep as you explore Iceland’s unique interior paradise for geology enthusiasts and visiting hikers - and don’t forget to bring along your bathing suit and towel for a dip in one of Iceland’s natural geothermal spots.
We start off from Reykjavík and drive through the fertile farm lands of southern Iceland. Soon the snow-covered peak of Hekla, Iceland’s most famous active volcano, comes into view. Hekla was notorious in medieval Europe as it was believed to be the entrance to hell. Hekla has erupted approximately 20 times since the county was settled in the ninth century.
The variations in the lava and vegetation shaped by the forces of erosion create a spectacular setting for the volcano. We drive right up to the edge of the youngest lava field formed during the 2000 eruption. If weather permits, we drive up along the volcano’s ridge, which is 900 meters above sea level. From this height we can enjoy a splendid view of the surrounding region.
From the base of the volcano we drive over a truly rugged mountain track past lava fields and explosion craters.
We then head into Landmannalaugar traversing a few streams and rivers in our specially build super jeep. We will stop allowing time for exploring or a refreshing dip in the nearby hot springs stream. As we head out of the interior, we visit the explosion crater Ljótipollur. Then we advance down the picturesque Þjórsárdalur We’ll make a stop at the photogenic Hjálparfoss waterfall after making a pit stop at the highland hotel at Hrauneyjar for coffee and a break. The day in the Landmannalaugar area is a memorable experience and a geological treat.
Evening super jeep tour including northern lights hunt, lava caving and a lobster dinner
Your pick up will arrive at your hotel in the shape of an enormous Super-jeep with an expert guide at the wheel. The search for the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) is on! We start by exploring the hidden world in and under the lava field located in the Blue Mountains only 25 minutes drive from Reykjavik. Walking down into the lava cave and discovering the marvels that volcanic activity has created in the past is a trip that everyone can undertake and enjoy. On your underworld adventure you will see the magical rock formations left behind in the last volcanic eruption and in winter the cave is likely to be filled with glistening icicles of all shapes and sizes, a sight not soon forgotten.
After our underground adventure we head on to Rauda Husid restaurant in Eyrarbakki village on the south coast where a two course dinner (350 gr. lobster and dessert) is waiting for us. Rauda husid is one of Iceland’s most renowned seafood restaurants especially famous for its lobster dinner, located 60 km from Reykjavik surrounded by the pitch-black Icelandic winter night. From there our hunt continues.
The Auroras can only be seen far away from the city lights and from Eyrarbakki we will not have to travel far until the mountains provide the shadows we need. On cloudless and clear winter evenings, with luck on our side, we may be able to spot this beautiful and elusive natural phenomenon. Vivid and bright, the dancing northern lights in the Arctic skies are a sight to remember.
Please note: Seeing the Northern Lights is highly dependent on weather conditions and we reserve the right to cancel if the circumstances are not in your favor.
You can add one of our great value multi adventure tours to your super jeep tour for an unbeatable Iceland vacation.
