OUR MISSION
Pink Iceland strives to be the country’s foremost travel agent, tour operator, event and wedding planner for LGBTQI travelers. Our goal is to always offer an exemplary service, treating our guests with the utmost respect while offering a good quality product.
Pink Iceland has clear policies regarding its responsibilities to environmental and humanitarian issues. These are reflected in the services on offer and the general attitude of the company’s owners and staff.
Pink Iceland is, and will remain a beautiful, vibrant, fun and caring place of work where both owners and staff ambitiously work towards offering outstanding services to its guests
HONESTY POLICY
Pink Iceland is a privately owned company and as such it needs to make a profit. This profit pays the salaries of its staff, the rent, the wonderful and informative Pink Iceland website not to mention copious amounts of coffee for the owners. Most of Pink Iceland's money is made through commissions. This is how it works: If our guests let us book their tours, activities, and accommodation we collect a small (usually 10-15%) commission of the price. This basically means that you pay the same price, regardless of whether you book directly - or through us. You may think this might cause us to recommend really expensive accommodation and tours. Not so. We promise to do our utmost to come up with a plan that suits you, and your budget. We would never recommend anything without full confidence and/or personal experience of what's on offer. Our primary goal is working with and for the LGBTQI community and without the community's support or goodwill we wouldn't have lasted six months in the business. It is not least through word of mouth that we grow stronger every day. Our hope is that after reading this you too will ask for our recommendations and advice and/or book your holiday through us.
HUMAN RIGHTS
Pink Iceland is founded on the belief that more can be done to welcome LGBTQI visitors to Iceland. We strive to to offer the best available services to our guests, working with suppliers who respect and adhere to human and civil rights.
We at Pink Iceland have committed ourselves to contributing to LGBTQI communities around the world in whatever way we can. This has been done with monetary donations, education about what we've achieved in this country and how we went about it and through on-going volunteer work for Samtökin'78 the national LGBTQI organization in Iceland as well as Reykjavik Pride Week where we offer our time and expertise for various events and causes. We constantly revise our policies, processes and activities and actively work towards implementing these. Our human rights commitments may often go unnoticed but when applicable we update our audience about the work we undertake through our social media outlets and website.

Daily whale watching tours all year round from Reykjavik with our fantastic Pink Partner and super gay friendly Elding Reykjavik Whale Watching.
Conveniently located in Reykjavík's old harbour, a few hour tour with Elding can bring you up close to whales and birds in their natural habitat all year round. The drama, joy and poetry of these beautiful whales are seen on more than 95% of the tours. Elding's whale watching tours are wildlife excursions and therefore each tour is unique. Tourists delight in the sightings of minke and humpback whales, white-beaked dolphins, harbour porpoises and various sea birds such as puffins, gannets, guillemots, gulls, kittiwakes, arctic terns and many more depending on the season. To ensure that the animals are not disturbed by our presence, we sail at a constant speed towards their habitat. This also is part of our sustainability policy as we try to minimize oil use and pollution.
Whale Watching tours are offered daily all year round but they are weather permitting, tours might be cancelled with a short notice due to inconvenient sea conditions.

These stable and safe boats also allow us to search a bigger area, thus increasing your likelyhood of viewing the whales, dolphins and birdlife.

Next we head out further in search of the whales. Seeing the whales and dolphins as up close as you can from our RIB boats is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. After our whale tour we sail back to Reykjavík, where we will take ride along the cities shore line, viewing it from the ocean. Your day will start at the domestic airport where you will meet up with the Heli pilot for a quick briefing. After the rundown you will hop on board the Helicopter and get to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Reykjavík, mountain range and surrounding areas in the 30-45 minute tour. Before heading back, the pilot will make a few minute's stop on one of the mountains near Reykjavík where you can enjoy the stunning panoramic view of the city!
Once you have landed back at the domestic airport, you can either get picked up by Elding's mini bus at Natura Hotel or make your own way down to the Old Harbour where the Whale Watching tour departs from. Once you have collected your tickets in the sales booth you will be shown to the Whale Watching Centre (our "floating museum") located in an old fishing vessel permanently placed by the pier. There you can relax and sit down with a coffee or check out our whale exhibition located in the hull of the boat prior to boarding the Whale Watching boat. For the duration of the tour, our expert tour guide will share with you more information about the surrounding landscape, whales and dolphins that we are likely to see on the tour, where to look and what to look for.
After the Whale Watching, you will find yourself again in the Old Harbour where the tour started and have the opportunity to be driven back to your hotel or hang around in the city centre, a mere 5 minute walk from the harbour area where you will find various shops and restaurants.
