It's so inspiring when our couples have a clear vision of what they have in mind for their Iceland wedding and entrust us to go on that journey with them making their dream destination wedding happen. We're so thankful that M&M chose Pink Iceland as it was an honour and a pleasure to work with them and then witnessing everything coming so beautifully.
The Canadian Mr. & Mrs. Switzer wanted to get married in Iceland and brought along their close family and friends to celebrate. The lovely bride to be is known for always wearing black so it couldn't have been more fitting doing the first look at Budir Black church and then get married on the Black Sand Beach Djupalonssandur. What she surprised the wedding guests and groom with was wearing the most stunning white dress and chose a spectacular bouquet that fitted the dress perfectly.
The planning team had a lot of fun with setting up the ceremony at the Black sand beach, the best part were pampas flying about everywhere, it gave us a festival confetti feeling, the Icelandic wind saw to that.
Such a big part of being a wedding planner in Iceland is knowing and working in our incredible landscapes and getting to know and trust suppliers and collaborators that we want to take along on our wedding adventures. For M&M's day we had the absolute best team with us, grateful for their presence and looking forward to further adventures together.
Storytelling via incredible photos by Bows & Lavender, such a pleasure to work with you!
Getting ready at Búðir Hotel. M&M got together separately at Hotel Budir, relaxing vibes and sips of champagne.
Looking at the views from Hotel Budir's Bardarstofa room is just like looking out at a work of art.
Þórdís, Pink Iceland's florist bringing the bridal bouquet. After creating such a personal piece like a wedding bouquet is it's always so nice when they get to meet in person.
First look about to happen at Budir Black Church
Before the wedding ceremony with their family & friends M&M wanted to share a moment just the two of them so we snuck them down to yet another stunning Iceland black beach where they exchanged vows in an intimate and private ceremony.
In the trusted hands of Eva María, Pink Iceland Wedding planner, the couple has arrived at Djupalonssandur beach and M's father awaits her to walk her down the aisle. Perhaps when imagining an aisle it didn't quite look like a dramatic Game of Thrones trail - but we might just prefer that :)
For an officiant they chose the wonderful Humanist Árni Gretar who performed a beautiful ceremony.
Celebratory bubbles after the wedding overlooking the beach where the ceremony was held and with Snaefellsjokull glacier in the background.
Þórdís decorated the restaurant at Búðir with black table cloths, long black candles & pampas & decor matching the bouquet beautifully.
The bride got a sneak peek of the room before it opened for the guests.
