J&J had their Iceland Wedding ceremony in the charming Búðir Black Church on Snæfellsnes peninsula. Budir church sits in the Budir lava field and standing in the doorway of the church looking out you can see the Snæfellsjökull glacier on a clear day.
J&J traveled to Iceland with their close friends and family for a destination wedding and spent two nights on the Snæfellsnes peninsula surrounding their wedding day.

The couple chose a magnificent location for their base right outside Grundarfjörður with a beautiful view of Kirkjufell mountain, imagine waking up to that? Plus there were horses roaming in the fields around their cottages.

You can't have Iceland Wedding preparations without some bubbles can you? The girls teamed up and went to a local hair & makeup saloon and then returned to the cottages where the rest of the group was getting ready. We're so in love with this location.
Team work!

Father daughter first look on the patio before departing for Budir Black church. The drive from Grundarfjörður to Búðir goes over a mountian pass, the views over the lava field and witnessing sheep herding made the ride extra special.
Budir Black Church, the wedding ceremony location.

After the drive over the mountain pass the group arrived at Budir Black church.
First look before the wedding ceremony in the Búðir Lava fields, just a stone's throw away from Búðir Black Church.

Hello gorgeous.
Walking to their Budir wedding ceremony. You can see their wedding planner Haffi waiting with the bouquet.

Florals by the talented Þórdís Zophía. We can't get enough of her work, she's Pink Iceland's florist!

They're married!!

Iceland Wedding picnic outside the Black church. On the menu: Prosecco, Icelandic chocolate, the Icelandic kleina, also known as the twisted doughnut, and of course Icelandic strawberries.
While the couple went on a wedding photoshoot with Styrmir & Heiðdís their guests traveled with Pink Iceland's Ziggy around the peninsula for some amazing sights. We love to incorporate these kinds of tours into the wedding day, the wedding couple get their privacy with their Iceland wedding photographer and the guests get to enjoy an adventure together in the Icelandic nature.

J&J started their wedding photoshoot right outside Budir church, the church itself is so photogenic and the Snæfellsnes peninsula mountain range creates a dramatic backdrop
If you have the option of going on top of a mountain on your wedding day, you should take it!

First dance as husband and wife by the cliffside waterfalls in Arnarstapi.
Djúpalónssandur Black beach was

Kirkjufell mountain, what a view.

The wedding reception was held at Bjargarsteinn restaurant in Grundarfjörður. Warm welcomes by the wonderful staff and the food absolutely gorgeous. The restaurant is so cozy and really makes you feel at home, it's got that vibe to it.

Dearest J&J, thank you for picking Pink Iceland as your Iceland Wedding planner, it was a true pleasure to help you with the wedding planning and what an adventure getting to be with you on the wedding day itself.
Xoxo
