Where to even begin! We worked with Birna and the Pink Iceland team to plan our wedding and when I tell you they are the dream team, I mean it! Because of COVID we ended up having a 3 year planning process. Over the course of those 3 years the amazing Pink team felt like family. Birna was always so supportive, helpful, and positive. When battling border restrictions and uncertain circumstances she was always quick to comfort us and assure us we’d have our perfect day eventually. And she DELIVERED!
Birna planned a three day adventure wedding for our group of 10 (originally a group of 30 - always rolling with the punches!) It was the most stress free wedding event I could have possibly imagined! She handled all of our details, from tours with the Pink Iceland team (shoutout to Guðni for being the most fabulous tour guide ever), to hotel bookings, to transportation, to helping schedule COVID tests - Birna was our own personal Wonder Woman
Day of the wedding she was right by our side all day, always with a glass of Prosecco in hand. She guided us through prep with hair and makeup, personally transported us to our wedding location, and was the ultimate hype woman for the rest of the day while we galavanted around the Icelandic countryside for pictures. I would be lying if I didn’t admit I teared up when she left at the end of the day! The Pink team truly feels like family and treated us as such. Our day was incredible all thanks to Birna and her team.

'We had a great pleasure of working with Valdi at PinkIceland. Our elopement was last minute... as in running around with our head cut off at home the week before while ordering tickets, getting documents,etc. Valdi went above and beyond to take the chaos out of it all allowing us to focus on our adventure. He stayed in constant communication despite a 5hr difference timezone,listened to our wants and needs while providing everything we needed and giving us the insight we were lacking to make some of the decisions. '...On the day of the wedding, Heiðrún took care of absolutely everything. She even surprised me with my dream bouquet – she found peonies! I knew this would be a long shot for a fall wedding in Iceland, but Heiðrún made it happen (this was the first of many times I cried happy tears this day).
I felt so held and supported by Heiðrún and our spectacular photographer Kristina Petra. Both of us were also nervous about being photographed, but Kristina was so wonderful and easy to be with. She immediately had our families laughing, and we felt so comfortable with her. One of my favorite moments of the day was making a stop with Kristina and Heiðrún in our wedding outfits to grab a hot dog on the way to the ceremony – it was a delight. The ceremony was in a perfect location, and we were able to celebrate with our close family and friends with a lovely picnic after the wedding (complete with Icelandic pancakes made from a women’s group in the north!).
I’m also still thinking about the meal we had at our reception venue (Svartaborgir!). Everything was delicious, the cake (which Heiðrún flew with on her lap from Reykjavik) was extraordinary, and the venue was so intimate, warm, and lovely.
I truly cannot express how wonderful this day was. It exceeded all of my expectation – I cried (happy tears!) so many times during the day and was just in awe of what Heiðrún was able to create. Heiðrún thought of absolutely everything, and I felt like my partner and I were free to be in the moment and enjoy the day with our family. I will treasure these memories forever...'

‘...For the wedding, we traveled 3 hours from Reykjavik to Búðir via private bus with our wedding party, where we had Hafsteinn as our tour guide and WOW what an experience he gave us! He shared stories, history and tied the Icelandic Sagas to the area where we were traveling. We even asked Hafsteinn to sing a small part at our wedding with the priest and he happily obliged, which made it very special. To top it off, on the way back to Reykjavik after the wedding, he created an interactive event on the bus that tied all of our wedding party into an Icelandic Saga, creating characters and a wonderful story that none of us will forget. Once again, just going so far above and beyond to make it a memorable experience…’

Pink Iceland Wedding planner: Edda
I knew that Edda had everything under control
'I cannot recommend Pink Iceland enough. We needed someone to help us plan an elopement in Iceland, so help with the paperwork, finding an officiant, etc as well as planning our honeymoon. The day before our ceremony we looked at the weather forecast and saw that it was supposed to be downpouring day of. We realized that the best weather to get married outside would be THAT evening. Rather than let us get married in the rain, Pink Iceland jumped in to save the day, moving hair and makeup, our officiant, and helping us choose a new location so we could be married that night (less than 12 hours from when we realized we needed to move the ceremony time).
After that whole whirlwind, we went off on our honeymoon that Pink Iceland also planned for us, which also went extremely smoothly and was a ton of fun.
Throughout the entire planning process, anytime someone asked me if I was stressed I could very easily say no, including the day that we had to move the ceremony, because I knew that Edda had everything under control.'

We went through Pink Island to organize our wedding with our children. Everything went very well from start to finish. Edda was really very nice, we immediately had a very good contact with her. She answered all of our questions and more. . She helped us in the choices to make for this wonderful day. On the wedding day everything went very smoothly. We had no stress thanks to Edda and Kristin, they took care of us and the children. Everything was as we had planned it together. Edda found us a celebrant who spoke French, it was important for us and we are very happy.
