Landmannalaugar Hot Spring Tour

This Super Jeep tour takes you through the magnificent Fjallabak route in between the volcanic landscapes of deserted highlands between Mt. Hekla and the surrounding icecaps along the South Coast. You will see some magnificent sights via 'mini - hikes' in Landmannalaugar and take a dip in a natural geothermal pool, so remember to bring your swim wear along. Dormant volcanic craters and volcanoes lie all around this spectacular landscape and you'll see one of the most amazing natural color scheme in the world (in our humble opinion). You will visit Ljóti Pollur, or 'Ugly Pond' to discover that it is anything but!

On the way back to Reykjavik we will pass through the Mt. Hekla region which is probably best described as a 'lunar landscape, formed by volcanic lava and ash. Once out of this landscape we will drive through the fertile south with its many farms and, hopefully, stop at a farm for a cup of coffee and a chat with the locals.
